Mill Colonnade in Karlovy Vary

Mill Colonnade in Karlovy Vary

Noble temple of health and art

This breathtaking building is the largest of the town’s colonnades. It is also the most frequented one, and rightfully so.
Drift off into daydreaming and take in the atmosphere of the place which is inspired by noble buildings of the ancient times. Twelve allegories of the months of the year watch the passers-by from the roof terrace above the five beneficial springs (Mill Spring, Rusalka Spring, Prince Wenceslas Spring, Libuše Spring and Rock Spring), all of which you can taste in the Mill Colonnade.  When walking amidst 124 Corinthian columns that support the colonnade’s roof, you should keep in mind that, according to the original plan, the place was meant to be even more spectacular. The colonnade, 132 metres long, hosts all sorts of cultural events including regular colonnade concerts.
