UN regional European Habitat conference starts in three weeks

The European Habitat will take place at the Prague Congress Centre on 16–18 March, 2016.

Just three weeks to go before the three-day UN European Habitat international conference starts; its main theme will be Housing in Liveable Cities. The conference is one of five preparatory regional meetings that will culminate during the global Habitat III summit in Quito, Ecuador on 17–20 October, 2016. Sustainable urban development is a well-chosen, relevant topic thanks to which the organizing Ministry of Regional Development expects participation of experts from all 56 member states.
The European Habitat will take place at the Prague Congress Centre on 16–18 March, 2016. Most speeches, lectures and debates are open to public; all you need to do is register at http://www.europeanhabitat.com/

Prominent global figures who have already promised their participation suggest high quality of contributions during the European Habitat conference. Experience will be shared by David Ortega, a Mexican architect who among other projects co-authored the zoning plan for Mexico City, or by Professor Jan Gehl, a Danish architect and co-founder of the Gehl Architects – Urban Quality Consultants studio, Professor Emeritus of urbanism at the School of Architecture of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
