Auto or motorcycle races are, similarly to horse races, a social event, which fans look forward to for the whole year.

We have a summary of 7 events for you, which will make every motor sports fan jump for joy. The World Motorcycle Racing Grand Prix, the second biggest Czech motor sport enterprise, a beautiful procession of thousands of Harley-Davidsons or polished veterans – you can expect all this and more during the summer in the Czech Republic.

Most: Veteran races

When: 22 – 24 June 2018
The Most Circuit in North Bohemia continues last year’s successful premiere of this very attractive event for spectators and you will be able to enjoy the battle between beautiful veterans once more this year. Compared to last year the organisers have an ace up their sleeve – this year you will be able to see open-wheel cars from the royal formula 1 event, from the golden age as they appeared on world circuits at the end of the 1960s until 1985, circling the track in Most.

Prague: 115th anniversary of Harley-Davidson

When: 5 – 8 July 2018
Don’t miss the magnificent four-day celebrations at the beginning of July. You can expect an exhibition of over 150 machines, a stunt show and a beautiful procession of thousands of Harley-Davidson machines. Regardless of whether you are an enthusiastic motorcycle rider, a motorcycle fan or an admirer of the motorcycle style, you simply must note the dates 5 to 8 July 2018 in your calendar, when Harley-Davidson will be celebrating its 115th anniversary in Prague. The celebrations are designed for the general public and will be held in the spirit of riding motorcycles, racing, making new friends and sharing a common love for two wheels.

Karlovy Vary: Carlsbad Classic

When: 13 – 14 July 2018
The Carlsbad Classic is a two-day rally located in the picturesque landscape of the Karlovy Vary Region and the local spa towns. The 6th year is one of the top Czech veteran events and everyone who wants to experience the unique ambiance and enjoy a wonderful adventure should visit Karlovy Vary in the middle of July. This season the Carlsbad Classic is part of the Classic Rally Trophy, along with the 7 Castles Trial, and the trophy for the best crew of the hundredth-of-a-second rally will be announced here after it ends.

Brno: Czech Republic Grand Prix

When: 3 – 5 August 2018
The Brno event of the World Motorcycle Racing Grand Prix on the Masaryk Circuit is the most prestigious event in the Czech Republic, which attracts quarter of a million fans from around the world to Brno every year. The best riders plan their participation at this event. The most highly awaited and most famous race has traditionally taken place in the Moravian metropolis since 1950.

Kutná Hora: Veteran Rally 2018

When: 18 – 19 August 2018
This international veteran race up the hill follows on from the long-standing tradition of holding veteran races in Kutná Hora. This Central Bohemian Town not far from Prague also boasts a UNESCO world heritage site. You will be able to view the polished cars, which were all made before 1940, in relative peace on Palackého náměstí as well as during the race itself.

Zlín: Barum Czech Rally Zlín 2018

When: 24 – 26 August 2018
The biggest motor race in East Moravia has been a pillar of European Motor Sports competitions since 1983, when it became one of the European Grand Prix races. It is the biggest Czech motor racing enterprise after the Bohemia Rally. This year it will take place as the last but one rally of the ten-part European Grand Prix series. And what will this year’s 48th competition offer? An attractive speed test in the streets of Zlín, historic legends and the final sixth race for promising young drivers.

Most: Czech Truck Prix

When: 31 August – 2 September 2018
The Most Circuit in the north of Bohemia will welcome the 26th year of its most prestigious and most popular event every year, the Czech Truck Prix, which includes the Most Truck Festival. If you have lost your heart to trucks, you simply have to visit Most – it is less than 1.5 hours from Prague, but the visit will be worth it. As well as the races, you will also be able to see a beautiful procession of racing trucks through the streets of Most, a driver autograph session, a stunt show or taxi service in modified specials.
