Ore Mountains (Krušné Hory) cycling region

By bike on both sides of the mountain range

Enjoy cycling on both the Czech and the German sides of the Ore Mountains. Thanks to the Goal3 project "Ore Mountains Cycling Region", a parallel connection was made between the leading highways: Krušnohorská on the Czech side and the long-distance Sächsische Mittelgebirge on the German side.
The Ore Mountains will surprise you with a romantic landscape with picturesque mountain scenery. The beauty of water dams, peat bogs and rock formations as well as the wildness of mountain meadows is still an undiscovered area for many, and for cyclists it is an ideal place to discover the forgotten corners of these mountains. The merging of two long-distance ridge routes, 250 km on the Saxon side and 170 km on the Czech side, created an extensive cycling network with a total length of 600 km, connected by new, well-marked connections. On this route, you can choose from a wide range of trips for demanding athletes and leisure cyclists alike. Information about this unique region, tips for trips and suggestions for routes of various difficulty levels can be found on the krusnehory.eu website. In addition, the trails continue to feature new info signs with detailed maps and other information about the main tourist attractions along the routes, with tips for trips and attractions found in the surrounding area.
