The unique exhibition connects the work of two world-famous Czech artists, Alfons Mucha and architect Eva Jiřičná who took over the architectural design of the Waldstein Riding School.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see the story of the creative genius in a completely brand-new way. The exhibition will present all the important stages in the artist’s life – Mucha’s childhood in South Moravia, his studies in Paris, stay in America and return to his homeland, as well as the creation of one of the most important artworks in Czech history – the monumental Slav Epic. Many of the original artworks (paintings, sculptures, photographs or advertising items) from the family collection will be displayed for the very first time. Mucha became famous mainly as the leading representative of Art Nouveau and his decorative work forms significant milestones in the history of modern graphic art.
