The Department Store Zlín (the first “Baťa skyscraper in Zlín dating to 1931) will open a multifunctional gallery in its glazed roof superstructure designed for social and business events. The gallery with a capacity of up to 200 participants will offer an attractive opportunity for the MICE industry.
A multifunctional gallery with extremely attractive spaces, which have been lacking in the city so far, should be opened in the glazed roof extension by this summer. The new hall can accommodate over two hundred people. "Originally, an experiential restaurant was intended there, but with regard to changes in society and the current development of the gastronomic sector, we have reconsidered the concept. The premises will be used for rentals for events such as weddings, celebrations, parties or non-traditional corporate conferences, but also for concerts, fashion shows and theater performances. The gallery will be technically equipped, air-conditioned and sound-proofed for all these occasions," said Soňa Ondřejová, manager of the Zlín Department Store.
The gallery is fully glazed on three sides and therefore offers an unusual panoramic view of the center of Zlín, including the nearby "skyscraper", another legendary Baťa building. The premises occupy more than half of the tenth floor. In the remaining part, a spa center is to be established in the future.
In the near future, the completion of the hotel and subsequently the spa center on the ninth and tenth floors is also planned.
