Smartwings and Eurowings sign codeshare agreement
Smartwings and Eurowings have started the first phase of a codeshare agreement as of March 21, giving customers more travel options on their intra-European flights.

The Czech airline places its «QS» code on Eurowings flights between Prague (PRG) and 16 destinations: Cologne (CGN), Hamburg (HAM), Düsseldorf (DUS), Bristol (BRS), Birmingham (BHX), Copenhagen (CPH), Barcelona (BCN), Athens (ATH), Larnaca (LCA), Heraklion (HER), Malaga (AGP), Alicante (ALC), Stockholm – Arlanda (ARN), Faro (FAO), Rome – Fiumicino (FCO) and Palma de Mallorca (PMI).

«The launch of our partnership comes at exactly the right time. After two years of being cooped up at home, the desire to travel is stronger than ever. We are currently seeing an increase in bookings. Not only in the Czech Republic, but across our entire route network» said Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings.

For the summer season, Eurowings will be opening its base in Prague (PRG). This will certainly allow the expansion of its operation in Central Europe. It will count with three Airbus A320 aircraft with a Czech crew. The flights will be operated through Eurowings Europe (2W).
