The popular Vltava River ferries are running again. So is the nostalgic tram line number 42 in central Prague, which can be ridden on weekends and holidays through November 19.
Prague boats transported over 619,000 passengers last year. The P2 route between Podbaba and Podhoří was typically the largest ferry, carrying 219,000 passengers and 23,000 bicycles.

This boat transports 600 persons per day on average. With around 119,000 people, the P5 route from Cisarská louka at Výtoň and Smichov Dam (Smichovska Náplavka) was the second most used ferry.

The ferries in Prague are a popular transport option among locals as well as tourists. They allow you to experience the Vltava River and the city from a very special perspective, while comfortably getting from one bank to the other.

The tram route 42 begins and ends at the Public Transport Museum in Střešovice, offering breathtaking views of Prague along the way. According to the Prague's public transport authority DPP, ticket fees will remain the same as last year. Passengers can catch the first train of the day on Saturdays or Sundays at 10 a.m. from the Střešovice tram depot in Prague 6. Adults can ride for 100 crowns, while children and senior citizens can ride for a reduced fare of 60 crowns for a single journey. Tickets can be purchased directly on the tram, and credit cards are also accepted. Regular public transport tickets and passes are not valid on the historic lines.

Passengers on the nostalgic line number 41 will enjoy a scenic route that includes crossing over the the Čech and Mánes bridges in central Prague, by Letenské náměstí near the Technical Museum at Letná, and up to the Výstaviště Exhibition Ground and Planetarium Praha in Prague 7.

Prague's seasonal line 41 joins the historic line 42, which takes passengers on a different route through Prague's city center that includes stops at Náměstí Republiky, Wenceslas Square, the National Theatre, and Malostranské náměstí.
