Newly Independent: Prague’s Alcron Hotel
Unlike your average twenty-something, the accommodation at Alcron Hotel Prague is one of art-deco and elegance, no hand-me-down furniture or take out containers in sight.
To be fair, with 85 years of experience in hospitality, the Alcron Hotel Prague is not actually an adolescent. The brainchild of Prague businessman and architect Alois Krofta originally opened in 1932. Guests like Charlie Chaplin, Winston Churchill, and Hugo Haas have graced the halls over nearly a century of operation.

This is simply a friendly dissolution of a partnership that got the hotel through some hard times. The hotel closed for a brief hiatus in the 1990s during the early days of Czech independence. The Radisson Group stepped in as a partner from 1998-2018, two decades in which the Radisson Blu Alcron established a reputation for excellence, particularly for its customer service, food, and cocktail offerings.

While reclaiming the original name and independent ownership of Hotel Alcron Prague, the hotel maintains its beloved bells and whistles. Its central location still sits just steps from Wenceslas Square and the newly reopened National Museum. High-speed WIFI is complimentary throughout the building. For the food lovers and cocktail drinkers, the Alcron, the La Rotonde Restaurant and the Be Bop Bar remain open to their loyal stream of hotel guests and Prague residents.

Much like a newly single someone strutting onto the town after a long-term relationship, the Hotel Alcron Prague is simply enjoying the new sense of ownership for all it has to offer. You can schedule a date for yourself at https://www.alcronhotel.com.
