Calling all film fans: the amenities inside the newly opened Anybody Hotel go far beyond just breakfast and WIFI. Brno’s latest hotel immerses guests in a cinematic experience of their choosing. The team behind some of the city’s favorite nightlife experiences, including Super Panda Circus and Bar Ktery Neexistuje (“The Bar That Doesn’t Exist”), are branching out into the world of accommodation with an equally inventive concept.
All guests at Anybody Hotel will become the actors in their own stories, guided by tablets in each room. At first touch of the tablet, the lights change to set the color and mood for scenes inspired by 1960s movies like "Goldfinger" or "Barbarella". The voices of professional actors Czech National Theatre Brno narrate their way through instructions for couples to complete four to five games and roleplaying challenges, complete with costumes and props to round out the fun. So far, the language of the challenges is only in Czech, but a complete English version is expected before the summer of 2019.
The Lidi z Baru team take showmanship and attention to detail seriously. In addition to a typical hotel staff, Anybody Hotel consulted a screenwriter, stage designer, psychologist, gaming expert, and software developers to pull together a unique blend of industries. "We wanted to create an intensive immersive experience that combines hospitality, art and the human love for playing games,” says creator Adam Vodicka. “We are crazy about fresh and unknown concepts.”
