October packed with virtual events
In October, CzechTourism UK organized several virtual events, both for the general public and for B2B partners and journalists.
“Due to the continuing restrictions and the unstable situation, we have decided to organize perhaps the last series of virtual events together with our Czech partners. Virtual events are an excellent platform for establishing first contacts, however, we are already looking forward to meeting our partners in person. " Katarína Hobbs, director of the CzechTourism UK stated.

The first event was Global Travel Week, which brings together B2B professionals in tourism and especially in the leisure, MICE, luxury, adventure and spa sectors. The event took place on October 4-5, 2021 and participation at the event was the result of the PROPED project between the foreign office of CzechTourism and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London. The opportunity to participate in an event of this format was welcomed by several Czech partners, among whom we could find the City of Brno, the Tourist Office of South Moravia, the Ústí nad Labem Region and the Czech Travel Center.
The Czech partners evaluated the participation at this event positively. Lucie Druckerová from the Ústí Region stated: “GTW was well organized. Everything was planned and organized nicely and clearly. "
"I think it's a good project, mainly you will meet people with whom you would find it difficult to meet in person at the fair, where there are only high costs for your own participation, etc."
Jessie Hronešová from Czech Travel Center commented on the event.

In October, the foreign office organized the largest online event for the general public to date, with the subtitle "Discover the Czech Republic". The event was organized in cooperation with Budweiser Budvar and Silver Travel Advisor magazine and was focused on exploring the regions of the Czech Republic and Czech cuisine. There was also a virtual interactive tour of the Budweiser Budvar brewery.

The virtual webinar Cheers from the Czech Republic for representatives of the Irish travel trad and journalist took place on October 22, 2021. This event was a product of the PROPED project between the foreign representation of CzechTourism and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Dublin. Several Czech partners appeared in this webinar, among whom we could find Visit Pilsen, Moravian-Silesian Tourism, Živý kraj - destination agency for the Karlovy Vary region and Fashion Arena Prague Outlet, who presented their products and services during the webinar. At the end of the event, there was also a live tour of the brewery in České Budějovice, which was very much welcomed by the participants.
