Are you planning an active family holiday on a visit to the Czech Republic? For example, Dolní Morava boasts the largest mammoth model in the world. It is 13 metres tall, 31 metres long and a slide runs through its trunk.

Mirakulum

Where: Milovice, Central Bohemia
A forest park and contact zoo, giant trampolines and swings, rope parks, underground passages, playgrounds and, last but not least, a narrow-gauge railway that links the park to the neighbouring Tankodrom. All this is part of the 10-hectare Mirakulum park in Milovice, Central Bohemia. The dominant feature here is a wooden castle, which will definitely not bore your children.

Dolní Morava

Where: Dolní Morava under Kralický Sněžník
A year-round mountain facility with a wide offer of sports and recreational activities including adrenaline activities that attract the smallest of visitors. They are the ones that will find four children’s parks here! Mammoth’s Waterpark (Mamutíkův vodní park) newly boasts the largest mammoth model in the world (13 metres tall). Additionally, it is a facility that will show you all the things you can do with water. There are several interesting pieces of equipment and machines that children can try out. The Forest Park (Lesní zážitkový park) offers fairy-tale treehouses, slides and jungle gyms. Sand World gives children the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the real wild west with buildings right out of a western film. They can participate in archaeological excavations; they can also find a sand train and become small gold diggers for at least a little while. The Amálka Children’s Park is full of rock-climbing walls, jungle gyms, tubing runs and trampolines. The Sky Walk (Stezka v oblacích), found at the top station of the Sněžník chairlift, offers beautiful views of the surroundings as well as a bit of adrenaline.

Active Park Lipno

Where: Lipno nad Vltavou, South Bohemia
Active Park Lipno offers activities for the entire family. The local Treetop Walkway (Stezka korunami stromů) is very popular; it has become one of the most visited tourist destinations in South Bohemia and in Šumava. You can also enjoy plenty of adventure in the rope park or bobsleigh track and the especially prepared Fox’s children’s bike area, pools with waterworks in Aquaworld Lipno or Playroom Lipno, where they will babysit children 3 years and older. A new oasis is the Forest Kingdom (Království lesa), dedicated to games, fun and improving motor skills. You can settle down in the sapling maze, get lost in an anthill, or use a trampoline to jump into the branches of grown trees.

Podlesíčko Fairy-tale Village

Where: Podlesí near Žďár nad Sázavou, Vysočina
The Podlesíčko Fairy-tale Village is part of the Podlesí resort. You can stay here in homes named after Czech fairy-tale characters – Snow White (Sněhurka), Rákosníček or Red Riding Hood (Karkulka). But you don’t have to book a stay. You can even take a walk through the village accompanied by fairy-tale characters – every Saturday from 2 pm and Sunday from 3 pm. You are welcome to visit the village outside of the planned programme and, after paying admission, you can walk through this magical place on your own.

Heaven on Earth (Zeměráj)

Where: Kovářov, Písek district
This natural park, full of experiences and knowledge for children and adults, spans an area of nine hectares on the border of Central and South Bohemia not far from Orlík nad Vltavou. You can find more than a hundred different games, fun and educational features, adventure tasks, puzzles and several truly unique attractions – an early medieval archeopark, a kilometre-long barefoot trail, a large wooden maze or even a small children’s play village.

Soběhrdy Farm Park

Where: Soběhrdy, Central Bohemia
If you and your children love animals, head out to Soběhrdy near Benešov, about 30 minutes outside of Prague. You can spend an entire day in total harmony with nature at this unique spot. You can find a completely new world that will entice you over an area of 250,000 m2. There are animals here from all over the world. You will see how camels, kangaroos, ostriches, buffalos, llamas, piggies, alpine cattle and almost another 250 animals walk past you. In addition, they have slides of all kinds, a mini cinema, an indoor trampoline and a superb wooden ship all for children.

Happy World

Where: Radvánovice near Turnov, North Bohemia
The facility provides a multitude of fun attractions like a wooden castle, air trampolines, a dwarf village or a sandy mine with real Czech Garnets. You can also visit the Geopark, where you will walk a natural adventurous, fun and educational trail with interactive elements. You can look forward to a contact zoo filled with animals. In addition, you can make your own wooden swords, horses, shields, mandalas and unicorns in the local shop.
