Can Czech Spas Get Even More Beautiful? Yes!

The new landmark by architect Dušan Jurkovič, known for his distinct style combining Art Nouveau with folklore (e.g., the mountain chalets at Pustevny in the Beskids are like from a fairy-tale), can be seen in Luhačovice: the sun bathhouse will look the same as in 1902 when it was built. However, you won’t find the famous pool and changing rooms there; the bathhouse will be a museum with an exhibition focused on architect Dušan Jurkovič and composer Leoš Janáček – two men who loved the Luhačovice Spa and used to return there. In spring, the Chateau Bathhouse in Karlovy Vary should re-open after being closed for the past two years. Luhacovice Czech spa Slunecni lazne Jurkovic
