The last May weekend in Račice will belong to the European Rowing Championship. The whole event will be a trial run for Račice channel before the Canoe Sprint World Championships, which will be held here in September 2022. Račice canal was built in the bend of the Elbe river between Roudnice nad Labem and Štětí - and is the gateway to the Central Bohemian Mountains. When no competitions are being held in the canal the site is available to the public as a sports center with a variety of activities including beach volleyball, bowling or roller skating.
