Terezín is a place with a unique atmosphere: a Baroque fortress town surrounded by massive ramparts with a grid of streets and central square. During the Josephine Festivities, you can experience what the Terezín fortress used to look like long ago. Enjoy the traditional celebrations of the founding of the city with a full military parade, with military marches and shows, demonstrations of training and sample rifle battery. The program includes a traditional Czech fair and night combat. Among the guests will naturally be the city’s founders, Empress Maria Theresa and Emperor Joseph II.
