Concert for Europe
The Prague Sounds Festival will once again head to the surface of the Vltava River to make Prague and this year the whole Europe resound from the unique floating stage at Slovanský ostrov.
On the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Czech Republic will hold an official concert entitled Concert for Europe. The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Semyon Byčkov, will perform in the iconic Prague scenery. Visitors to the concert on the floating auditorium can look forward to a unique musical experience, as can onlookers from the adjacent waterfront, Slovanský ostrov, vessels and the Legion Bridge. The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Beethoven's Ode to Joy, Smetana's Vltava, Dvořák's Carnival and one of the most powerful spiritual compositions in music history - Leoš Janáček's Glagolitic Mass.
