Explore Prague Nightlife and Neighborhoods

with Rodney Hazard

What happens when a Brooklyn-based music producer, designer, and filmmaker lands (as he puts it) in “the symphony of stone, the golden city” of Prague? We get a fresh glimpse of the city’s architectural beauty, the vibrant nightlife, and some lesser-known spots outside of the city center to add to your itinerary.
This tour of the Czech capital, seen through the millennial lens of musician and music producer Rodney Hazard and friends, answers plenty of commonly asked questions. What does the nightlife scene look like in Prague? Where should we go if we want to dance? Where do you pre-game before hitting the bars? For all the answers, press play and tag along with an out-of-town visitor finding his way from outdoor evening beers to the turntables of a late-night dance party.

After the party, Rodney and his friends find time to explore much more than just the local nightlife. Daylight hours are spent with an emphasis on mixing famous landmarks with some of Prague’s coolest outer districtsHolešoviceSmíchov, and Žižkov. Follow along to browse boutique shops featuring Czech designers or the vinyl selections in independent music shops. Then spend an afternoon in an artist’s hub in the largely undiscovered-by-tourists district of Smíchov, worth the tram ride for the experience.

With your ears satisfied by music and your eyes entertained by viewpoints and sightseeing, we haven’t forgotten the sense of taste. Rodney learns why everyone loves smažený sýr (press play to learn the ingredients of this local dish) and finds a favorite bar in the pub-heavy neighborhood of Žižkov.

Rodney Hazard calls Prague “an interesting place on every level. There’s a little something for everyone here.” Five minutes of seeing the city through his eyes should be all the evidence you need to agree.
