Letovice Château

Letovice Château

Romanticism in beautiful suites

As the only château in south Moravia, Letovice offers accommodation for newly married couples and those in love. The first suite consists of three chambers and includes a terrace overlooking the town.
Another suite includes a spacious winter garden full of exotic flowers. In the château 40 km from Brno, weddings take place in the restored chapel, on the spacious terrace and in the courtyard. Don’t forget to visit the splendid park that surrounds the château.

Visitors will be enchanted by the zoopark and can then take a rest next to the château fountain. The large English-style park covering 26 hectares has been declared a protected area and ranks among the most valuable château parks in the Czech Republic. The entire château was restored along with the courtyard and château riding hall, which now serves as a restaurant including multifunctional premises that are intended for weddings, concerts and other events.

The first mention of Letovice Château dates back to the period from 1150 to 1274. Initially it was a fort which was later converted into a castle. The castle was conquered in 1643 by the Swedes. In the late 17th century the castle was converted into an early-Baroque château, which was later renovated in the Empire style. It is the new owner, Bohumil Vavřík, who looks after the château and its renovation today.
