Janské Lázně is a popular holiday destination. The town is in the Krkonoše National Park, on the slope of Mount Černá, to the top of which you can get comfortably in a cable car. Families with children have many opportunities for sports activities, hikes or trips along the ridges.

You can purchase massages and treatments at the central reception in Janský Dvůr or at the Aqua Centre reception. The treatments are also available at the weekend.

Get yourself moving with some sport 

Janské Lázně is popular with hikers and cyclists as the perfect starting point for trips to the Krkonoše National Park. You can get right up to the tops of the mountains by taking the cabin cable car up to Černá Hora. You can also enjoy some active relaxation in the modern Janské Lázně Aqua Centre, which also has outdoor hot tubs and a Finnish sauna. 



Take the Good Old Spa Trails that will take you to the interesting places in the town of Janské Lázně and enjoy the unforgettable atmosphere of a spa, intensified by the mountain scenery. Walk to the Art Nouveau colonnade from 1904, to the sandstone sculpture of Rübezahl that adorns the upper promenade with an outdoor gallery, or to one of the most romantic places in the Krkonoše Mountains: the Klauzův Mine, originally used for timber rafting.

Where to Go for the Best Food?

When in Janské Lázně, you can get some great food in Hospůdka na Formánkách and the Rodinný Hotel and the Vyhlídka Restaurant that specialises in meals made from fresh regional ingredients. Pension Janský potok in the centre of the town has a café that serves excellent coffee and fresh, home-made desserts every day. The Výletní Restaurant in the building of the cable car at the peak of Mount Černá is also a wonderful place to eat, as well as the nearby Fordbar Černá hora.  

Freshen up with Outdoor Activities

The most beautiful places in the Krkonoše Mountains can be effortlessly explored thanks to cable cars and efficient electric mountain bikes! You can easily rent all the equipment for winter and summer sports in the Černá hora Ski Resort, by the top or bottom cable car station. Or take your kids to the Janské Lázně Ski School where they can climb an artificial outdoor wall with an instructor, or to the rope climbing park, where you can also try the adrenaline zip-line, besides the interesting rope obstacles. If you rent an off-road scooter and take the cable car to Mount Černá, you can ride down into the valley along paved and forest roads. Plenty of Opportunities for TripsVisiting the unique Treetop Walkway is a must. It takes you from the tree roots to the lookout tower, offering an amazing view, with 150-years-old giant trees at your fingertips. Get down faster on the 80-metre-long slide and finish your trip at a restaurant or the outdoor Lestánek.

When travelling around the eastern part of the Krkonoše Mountains, you can use the tourist ski-buses all year round, in addition to the cable cars, running from Janské Lázně through Temný Důl and Velká Úpa all the way to Pec pod Sněžkou, and explore new hiking trails.
