Skiresort Buková Hora

Skiresort Buková Hora, near the town of Červená Voda on one side and Čenkovice on the other side, was created by joining several ski areas. Today, there are more than 8 kilometres of ski slopes you can enjoy with a single ski pass, all of which are treated with artificial snow.

Longest Slopes in the Orlické Mountains

Skiresort Buková Hora is located in the Orlické Mountains in East Bohemia. The longest slope of the resort, and the entire Orlické Mountains, is the 2,290 metre-long Heroltická slope. It is a blue – family slope that is frequently used. The minimum width of 55 metres offers excellent skiing conditions and is great for improving the skiing technique of the smallest skiers and snowboarders. The Mlýnická slope is the second longest in the resort and the Orlické Mountains. It is just over 2 kilometres long, but it is steeper than Heroltická. And in the end, you can enjoy the playful Funslope zone with many obstacles. As a bonus, there is a radar installed on the slope that measures the speed of the passing skiers and snowboarders. There are also other slopes, such as Svitavská, which is 70 metres wide, and Třebovská that includes a board-cross trail.

Children Won’t Get Bored

The resort also includes several slopes for children, such as the small Children’s slope (Dětská sjezdovka) that is 600 metres long, or the Kidpark, which is a training area for the first steps on skis or snowboard. It is only 150 metres long and is used for practicing basic skills, such as stopping or skiing over uneven terrain. Both children’s slopes are treated with artificial snow.

Where to Go

Children love the two-metre throne of the winter ruler of the Orlické Mountains – Rampušák, right at the top of the slope. When visiting the Orlické Mountains, you have to visit the nearby Stezka v oblacích (Sky Walk) and enjoy views you would never see from the ground.
