Ski Resort Zadov

The well-equipped resort is an ideal place for families with children, who will learn not only skiing in the local ski school, but also snowboarding and cross-country skiing. You will find several mountain hotels, many guesthouses, 5 classic restaurants and snacks right on the slopes. Be sure to visit the unique lookout tower in the former access tower of the ski jump with an amazing view of the Šumava and Pošumaví regions from the viewing platform at an altitude of 1,109 metres.
 
Zadov-Churáňov is also one of the most famous cross-country skiing centres in the Czech Republic. The cross-country stadium and the adjacent racetracks, which hosted the Cross-Country Skiing Cup in 1983, are still the venue for many significant race events. You can go on well-maintained cross-country trails with a total length of over 50 kilometres and discover the beauties of Šumava in winter. For instance, it will take you 10 kilometres to Kvilda and the 16-kilometre trail will take you to the very sources of the river Vltava.
