Mountains

Trips to the mountains, to the world of untouched nature, steep cliffs, mountain ravines and lakes, are not for the lazy!
A chairlift will comfortably bring you to the top of the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, Sněžka, while you will need to go on foot or skis during wintertime to go up Praděd, the highest mountain in the Jeseníky. A trip through the Šumava countryside to the Vltava springs, the longest Czech river, is beautiful, as are the Beskydy near Radhošť, where a statue of the pagan god Radegast stands.
