When visiting Czechia, the one-of-a-kind museum in Jablonec nad Nisou with the world’s largest collection of Christmas decorations, one of the biggest collections of glass in Czechia, and a Europe-unique collection of costume jewellery is a must!

Christmas all year round... Enter the World of Wonders!

More than 15,000 glass Christmas decorations in the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou form the world’s largest public collection of its kind! Most of them are donations from the Jablonex company, which has left their entire sample room of blown, richly decorated unique pieces to the museum. The collection includes both contemporary production and historical ornaments from the early 20th century or from the years of socialism.

Let yourself be carried away by the variety of shapes and decors, or follow the symbolic story of the journey of Czech ornaments to their most important overseas market in the USA. That is why they are installed in the form of colourful sea waves, an ocean liner, or the skyscrapers of Manhattan.

The glitter and sparkle of jewellery and glass artwork

The permanent exhibitions The Endless Story of Jewellery and Magic Garden – Bohemian Glass in Seven Centuries will allow you to take a peek into the deeper contexts, but also provide the opportunity to merely meditate or play with parts of the exhibition in an interactive manner.

Find yourself inside a glass crystal

You will be impressed by the museum building itself. To the historic Art Nouveau building of the museum, an extraordinary building resembling a glass crystal has been added. The project even won the Czech award "Building of the Year 2020".
