The Czech Republic attracts film crews from all over the world. Crooked streets of Prague, stone castles or lavish baroque chateaux, all of them serve as perfect fairy tale settings. If you close your eyes, the fairy tales revive in front of you. Prague was a city where alchemists tried to invent gold and according to a legend a Jewish rabbi gave life to the famous Golem. A trip to a Czech castle or chateau will take you back in time to a world of beautiful princesses, duelling knights and dangerous bandits. Many castles offer fairy tale tours. Enjoy a tour guided by a ghostly White Lady, a brave knight or a scary executioner. Come to live your fairy tale in the Czech Republic.
The fantasy film, directed by Nils Gaup, shot in the Czech Republic in January and February of this year. "Our story takes place in a kingdom, somewhere far north, a long time ago," producer Jan Eirik Langøen said of the decision to use Czech locations. "We looked at several countries ... But at one point in the project, all roads led to Prague."
