Colours of Czech Traditions and Folk Architecture
The folkiest region in Czechia - Slovácko
A party on every corner! Folk costumes rather than sexy club gear, Moravian wine instead of Aperol Spritz, and folk tunes in place of house music. They know how to do a good knees-up in Slovácko!

You’d find it hard to name another place in Czechia where traditions and folklore are as important to life as in Slovácko. After all, three of the local traditions are listed as UNESCO cultural heritage and every year the Strážnice open-air museum holds the biggest and oldest folk festival in Europe!

Learn more about Moravian Slovakia

Moravian Slovakia

Moravian Slovakia is a region soaked in sunshine, where centuries of tradition and local folklore are still alive today. White houses with blue blinds and folk costumes are typical of Moravian Slovakia. You can take carved items or ceramics home with you as souvenirs. Discover a picturesque landscape, which you can travel through by bike, among the windmills lending the landscape a Dutch style, or uncover the stories of the pilgrimage sites. Indulge yourself on a trip to Moravian Slovakia on foot, by bike, on the water, or from a bird’s eye view from one of the sight-seeing flights offered by the Aviation Museum in Kunovice.
