The open-air museum in Příkazy will take you back to the countryside of the 19th century and introduce you to the adobe architecture of the eastern part of Moravia. You will have the opportunity to explore a historical farmhouse, barns, and a garden, and even try your hand at common rural tasks.
The centerpiece of this outdoor museum, located near Olomouc, is a complete farmhouse from 1876, surrounded by four nearly 200-year-old timber-frame barns and a garden with fruit trees. You can look forward to an exhibition showcasing traditional rural living, with a special section dedicated to laundry and ironing, as well as a collection of children's toys. In the barns, you can see agricultural machinery and tools used for field work and various tools from different craft workshops.
The museum organizes various events featuring demonstrations of traditional crafts and customs of the Haná region's countryside, where you will have the opportunity to try many things yourself.
