Hydrotherapy institute with the swimming pool in Luhačovice

A place awaiting its full re-utilization

The Hydrotherapy Institute was rebuilt by the architect Jurkovič in 1902 from a former mill, which was built here in the early 18th century.

The main building of the Hydrotherapy Institute was gradually complemented by Jurkovič and other architects into a comprehensive complex of spa buildings.

Jurkovič River and Solar baths were built in the "Japonese spirit" of the younger Jurkovič's work. The wooden cabanas, however, still have the original furnishings: mirrors, shelves with drawers, benches and stools. The spa currently serves only for sunbathing in the backdrop of the magnificent architecture, the city is looking for a tenant that would restore the traditional bathing.
