Lázně Kundratice a.s.

The Lázně Kundratice Spa and Sanatorium, one of the oldest spas in the Czech Republic, was privatised in 1992 and thus the joint stock company Lázně Kunratice a.s. was created. The traditional natural healing resource of sulphur-ferrous peat is used for treatment of the locomotor system. The main therapeutic programme comprises baths in the natural therapeutic sulphur-ferrous peat. The accommodation complex comprises 3 spa buildings – Šárka, Dalibor and Přemysl.

Kundratice Spa

The founder, a local businessman, Josef Schwan, first built a small house with two peat baths near the rich peat bogs. The spa buildings got a new look and in 1914 a sanatorium was built for the patients, but also for convalescents, especially soldiers from the First World War. In 1933, the spa was considered one of the most modern in our republic.
