Visit the stud of the black Kladrubers horses - one of the world's oldest horse breeds. You won't see them anywhere else as their breeding is registered on the UNESCO list. Among other things, you will see the coach house, the historic saddlery and the training centre. Or take a ride in the carriage!

In Slatiňany, you can enjoy a guided tour of the studs, which have been home to Oldkladruby horses for over 70 years - a baroque breed that originated for ceremonial purposes in the courts of the monarchy and whose history dates back to 1579! The Slatiňany Stud Farm is part of the Kladruby nad Labem National Stud, which, together with its surrounding countryside, is listed by UNESCO. In Kladruby they breed Kladruber whites and in Slatiňany they breed black ones.

The tour includes the stallion stable, the mare stable where you can see the youngest foals in the spring months, the coach house and the historic saddlery.

Enjoy the beauty of the Kladruby horses up close

Take a ride in a carriage pulled by real Oldkladruby horses and you will feel like a king or queen. After all, the horses of Kladruby still serve, for example, Queen Margaret II of Denmark!

Or let one of the local horses be presented to you with an expert commentary connected with the history of the horse and the pedigree of the local four-legged beauties. You can choose to have the horse demonstrated on your hands or under saddle with music. You can order the same services directly in the UNESCO stud farm of Kladruby nad Labem too.

The Slatiňany Stud Farm was founded in 1898 as a chateau stud farm. It was created from the original stables for racehorses and horses for hunts, which belonged together with the adjacent castle and estate to the Auersperg family.
